Lymphedema Therapy in San Diego

What is Lymphedema?

Lymphedema is an accumulation of fluid in a body part that results from an impaired Lymphatic system. Often Lymphedema is present in the arm or leg but it may also develop in facial tissue, trunk and genital area.  Lymphedema may occur after an infection of the lymphatic system and cancer treatment such as surgery or radiation. Additionally, Lymphedema may also be an inherent condition where the development of the lymphatic system is inadequate. Symptoms may be present at infancy or later in life.

Lymphedema Management

Manual Lymph drainage and Multi-component bandage are therapeutic interventions that provide effective management of Lymph edema and other conditions such as Venous stasis, Lipedema and post-surgical edema.
